Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation journalists have threatened to go on strike by the end of the week if the state controlled Broadcaster fails to give them their July salaries.
Reporters at the state controlled broadcasting station are earning $340 per month. One of the officials within the company’s finance department said the company is struggling to raise revenue, adding that most advertisements were being paid in exchange of items such as fuel, tissue paper, car servicing, hotel accommodation and meal vouchers.
