Radio Netherlands Worldwide has announced the winners of the annual Best of Blog Awards, the BOBs, and a Cuban weblog came out top. The English-language winner was the United States Party Time blog on September’s presidential election. The Dutch-language winner deals with food in all its aspects, tasty and not so tasty.
The BOBs are the brainchild of Germany’s Deutsche Welle which, together with other international broadcasters including Radio Netherlands Worldwide (RNW), seeks out the best weblogs in eleven languages. RNW organises the contest for the Dutch-language group and is jointly responsible for the Arabic-language group. The BOBs winners were announced on Thursday in a special ceremony in Berlin.
