An Internet radio station in Wales, in the UK, is hailing an unusual move into the world of mediumwave broadcasting a success after it crossed the digital divide into the world of analogue. In a world in which everything seems to be going digital, Celtica Radio has stepped in the opposite direction. Although it continues to make programmes available on its website, as of last week Celtica is also providing shows for the Mid-Wales-based Radio Hafren [on 756 kHz at 2300-0100 UTC].

Perhaps radio Caroline can have one as well. They deserve it more than anyone else.

Thank you Andy. Our first reception report indicated the signal was “clear” and “good” at around 16km south of Amsterdam between 23:00 and 01:00hrs UTC. Since that initial report, the transmitter power has been increased to 1kW.
We’re also sending out by Postal Mail, some limited edition QSL cards, to those who contact us with a medium wave reception report of our station.
The e-mail address is: QSL @ CELTICARADIO . COM

Joe, sorry for the delay in replying, I only occasionally check these forums.
Thank you very much for your kind comments, and good listening!
Please e-mail us at qsl@celticaradio.com so I can discuss this further with you as we also keep records of all types of reception reports. We have to have this before I can send out any QSL cards.
