Voice of Russia World Service celebrates 30 years on air

This year marks 30 years since the launching of the Voice of Russia World Service in English, formerly Radio Moscow World Service. On October 3, 1978 Radio Moscow went on the air with round-the-clock broadcasts in English beamed throughout the world.

In the run-up to the anniversary, listeners are invited to share their most vivid memories, reminiscences of their first encounter with the World Service, impressions of the programmes, both past and present, recollections about the broadcasters, staff writers, announcers – anything they would like to share with other listeners of the World Service in English.
