Vietnam’s state broadcaster Radio, the Voice of Vietnam (VOV) and the Voice of Russia have agreed to enhance cooperation in the field of radio and broadcasting and multimedia services, VOV News reports. The agreement was signed in Moscow by VOV’s Deputy General Director Hoang Minh Nguyet, and Vice-President of the Russian Federal National Broadcasting Corporation E Krustkaln.
Both parties discussed issues of mutual concern such as the exchange of information, high-level delegations and specialists. The VOV Vice General Director said Vietnamese audiences were very keen to learn about major developments in Russia. Mr Krustkaln said both broadcasters could help each other in different fields. He also mentioned the development of the internet and digital broadcasting. “Both Russia and Vietnam want to add fresh impetus to developing their relationship as both countries are now strengthening their overall strategic partnership.”
The Voice of Russia now has a large audience and this agreement was necessary as to speed up cooperation between the two radio stations in the future, he said.
