UK TV channel Five now available free to air on Astra 2D

Ray Woodward writes: A free to air version of ‘Five’ (Region 2) - complete with Five text (pages 500 - 599) has arrived on Astra 2D at 10.773 GHz Horizontal SR:22000 FEC:5/6 Label:6335. This is a relay via BBC capacity for use by Freesat as part of the Digital Switchover process. There are no plans to put any of Five’s other services on Freesat until the 2013-2017 time period (as SES Astra bring the next generation  of satellite capacity onstream at 28 east).

As I understand it. The present three PSB muxes are to be merged into two, this
allowing space for HD on the freed up multiplex.

John: That’s the Freeview (DVB-T) muxes, not the Freesat (DVB-S) muxes.
