I noticed a rolling caption on TVE Internacional, the Spanish international TV Service, which is one of the stations we get on the cable system here, advising that from 1 January 2009 the frequency on Hotbird 8, which serves Europe, is changing. But the caption didn’t actually say what the the new frequency is - advising viewers to make an international phone call or check the RTVE website to find out. Since my spoken Spanish is limited to the few words necessary to buy a beer in Madrid, I took the latter option and discovered that the new frequency is 11727 MHz, vertical polarisation. RTVE says this change is due to ‘reasons beyond its control’.

Yes, the dual illumination, which is a normal procedure when a satellite frequency is changed, started on 18 December and will continue through 7 January, according to RTVE.

Looks as if Telefónica Servicios Audiovisuales moves all FTA stuff from the 11.785 GHz mux to the 11.727 GHz mux in question and will devote 11.785 GHz entirely to a Conax package for Poland. “All stuff” means also some RTVE radio stations and three other customers, all duplicated on both muxes at present.
The 11.727 GHz mux is otherwise the home of BBC World Service for Europe. Interesting, I was not aware of the circumstance that the BBC choose Telefónica for this service.

TVE International is no longer broadcast via the Sky Digital platform (UK/RoI).
It continues to be available via the pan European satellites (which include UK/RoI) at both 19.2 and 13.0 degrees east.
Whilst it has yet to be confirmed as to why TVE I has vacated Sky Digital, I would strongly suspect it is simply a cost cutting measure by RTVE and they have simply opted not to renew their carriage/EPG contract(s) with BskyB.

The station has NOT “gone off the air” - simply off the Sky EPG. You can still view the channel on a Digibox by adding it as an “additional channel.” Press services, then add channels, then 11469 H 27500 2/3 and “find channels”. You will see TVEi come up as an option, press the yellow button to save the channel. To view it, select services then additional channels, and select it as normal. Of course, there is no EPG data so you will have to go to the website - http://www.rtve.es/television/tve-internacional/ - for details.

Like others who have posted one of the reasons we got a contract with Sky was precisely to have TVE (my wife is Spanish and it is great for our son’s Spanish language and we are desperate to get it back. There are no more Spanish channels transmitting at 28.2 E. Other Spanish channels are on Astra 19..2 East, and Hispasat at 30 degrees West. Unfortunately this means getting another dish, LNB and satellite receiver. If you look at http://www.spanishchannels.co.uk/ you will see what the options are.

The most feasible option is certainly a multifeed system that receives both 28.2 and 19.2 deg. East with a single dish, equipped with two LNBs, one for each position.

Of interest are the lines in light yellow, denoting “digital/clear” (see at bottom of page). Then check out the “Audio” column, stations marked with “Sp” are in Spanish language. The stations in small characters are radio stations; a bunch of Spanish radio is on 19.2 deg East, too, if that is of interest as well.

If you think these program offerings satisfy your needs you can dump the Sky subscription altogether.

I followed the instructions above and got it back - many thanks.
It will not work on my sky box with my Sky freeview card.
However, it works perfectly with my Sky subscription card - the channel must still be encrypted.
I am looking at getting another dish to tune into Astra at 19 degrees where there are a few free Spanish channels and will probably get rid of my Sky subscription.

My wife is from Mexico and enjoys the only available Spanish language program on the SKY system, it also helps me to stay in practice with my Spanish. Tell your wife to follow these instructions:
Primero oprime el boton Services y luego oprime el boton de SYSTEM SETUP, de ahi oprime el de ADD CHANNELS, luego cambia FREQUENCY por 11469, POLARISATION por H, SYMBOL RED 27.5, FEQ 2/3 y luego FIND CHANNEL, ahi te saldra TVEi y confirma con el boton amarillo.
Para ver el canal vuelve nuevamente a SERVICES y a OTHERS CHANNELS ahi te aparecera tvei y SELECT.
siempre que quieras ver TVE tendras que hacerlo de esta forma, ya que la han sacado de la programacion 795.
Suerte y que disfrutes de TVei.

I have managed to save TVEi through changing the frequency etc and saving it in OTHER CHANNELS - you don’t need to worry about changing the frequency and polarisation back to the original as the tv will do it automatically, well that’s what happens to my tv sky set-up. Unfortunately by watching it in this way you cannot record any of the programmes, but at least all is not lost. Hope we don’t lose it again! Linda

Hi everyone,
I have just managed to get the channel TVEi back. follow the below instructions:
Using your Sky remote control do the following:
1) Press Services
Press find channel, and go down to TVEi
2) Press System Setup
3) Press Add Channels
4) Change Frequency to: 11469
5) Change Polarisation to: H
6) Change Symbol Red to: 27.5
7) Change Freq to: 2/3
9) Press Yellow (Channel is now stored) - a tick should appear at the side of it
10) Press Services, Press Other Channels, press the green button to go to the next page and locate TVEi, select TVei and…………
Bravo, you know have TVE1 again……….hoorah……….
Note when you want to go back to TVEi then just go to other services, other channels, press green button (for page down), scroll down to TVEi, press select and you are back on TVEi……..
Happy viewing and guess what why do we as Sky users have to find this out for ourselves..whilst Sky customer services proceed on being a load of crap!

I rang them this morning and they didn\\\’t have a clue why the channel had disappeared let alone how I could get it back. It’s simple to record on sky+! Press the tv guide button on your Sky handset, and scroll down the list and select one of the categories of channels you wish to record by pressing SELECT then scroll up and down the channel list to find a channel you wish to record from then select a programme from your chosen channel and press the R button on your handset, it will appear on your planner as set. Easy!

Its a bit of a pain not getting the programme information now, and having to jump to \’other channels\’ to select TVEi, but not the end of the world.

Got this e-mail from sky today re tvei . Hope its true. also is there a reason that despite following these instructions when i click on tve in other channels it says no signal being recieved? I am in the south west of the uk?

Unfortunately, this channel is experiencing some issues with their on screen listings. Therefore, to allow them time to resolve these issues, they have been temporarily removed from the EPG.

My wife and I are thankful that we only have 4 more months left to put up with SKY, the worst company and programming we have ever dealt with, we’ll be returning to the U.S.A; in October where we’ll be able to view many Spanish language programs as well as thousands of up to date English language programs, (including new movies) and at about 1/3 of the price of SKY. What’s needed here in the R.O.Ireland and the U.K; is some good old fashioned competition, I’d love to see SKY go belly-up, after all, they’ve been stealing our money for all these years, they made theirs………Anybody know what happened to BOSTON LEGAL??? It seems to have fallen right off SKY’s programming line up……But then again, nothing surprises me when it comes to SKY.

But it seems that following Aura’s response from TVE themselves the situation might be resolved by SKY - who seem to have messed up here! If we couldn’t get TVE then we too would give up paying for SKY tv that’s for sure…..

Yo he intentado cambiar la frquencia y no me deja. No se que hacer. He llamado a SKY y despues de 20 minutos de musica y asegurarse de que me cobran por el sKY talk, el hombre no tiene ni idea de porque no esta el canal. Y despues de 5 minutos mas de espera para que pregunte a alguien me dice que es tve que ha decidido dejar de emitir por Sky???

Sorry!! Veo que el mensaje se ha cortado. Solo ha salido una linea y poco mas!
Lo repito: Para cambiar la frecuencia no debes usar las flechas de mas o menos.
Tienes que “marcar” el numero como si marcases un numero de telefono.
Yo al principio tuve el mismo problema hasta que “descubri” el porque no podia
cambiarlo. Pense que quizas es lo que te pasa a ti y es por esto que te lo digo.
A lo mejor tu tienes otro problema, pero te lo digo con toda mi buena intencion!
Comprendo lo mucho que echas de menos el canal TVE, yo tambien lo vengo
mirando desde hace un monton de tiempo.
No estoy muy segura pero creo que debe de ser Sky+

unfortunately sky dont broadcast it anymore, but you can add it on , and i have just done it, so if you have sky or sky+ your worries are now over, i will tell you how to do it.

TVE s available free to air on the hotbird sattelite. You do not need Sky, just buy a fta sat sytem form lidls for £30 (with decoder and dish) and pint it to hotbird… tve 24 horas and internacional are available and if you fit a dual lnb or amotor you can get more Spanish channels on the astra sat as well…

Me pasa igual que numero 85. Somos miles de espanoles que disfrutamos de tener a Espana en casa a traves de los programas de TVE. Ahora nos han quitado nuestra cultura. El govierno te manda para votar en elecciones como podemos hacerlo si no nos enteramos como va la politica. Y a nuestros hijos y nietos les han quitado su herencia. Estamos desesperados en la comunidad Espanola y de Sudamerica.

Nuevamente el canal 795 tvei ha sido bajado de la programacion de SKY, Reino Unido, habemos muchos latinos (la que escribe) y personas procedentes de Espana que vemos diariamente este canal, por favor podrian Uds. solucionar este problema de una santa vez con SKY para que no nos dejen sin nuestro canal favorito, y seguro que no hablo solo por mi.

Definitivamente nos hemos quedado sin el canal 795 en SKY aunque ya sabemos que lo podemos bajar manualmente. les envio el correo que recibi de RTVE

Le confirmamos que desde el día 2 de Octubre TVE cesará de ser retransmitida en la plataforma SKY ya que el acuerdo comercial mantenido hasta ahora finaliza su vigencia en esta fecha. Tras una larga negociación y a pesar de haber hecho todo lo posible, TVE no ha conseguido acordar una nueva renovación debido a las grandes exigencias económicas y organizativas por parte de SKY.
Nos complace informarles que nuestros canales siguen emitiéndose en abierto y de forma gratuita a través del Eutelsat “Hot Bird 8″. El equipamiento necesario para su recepción consta de una antena parabólica y un descodificador digital estándar de canales libres. Los de Sky me han dicho en palabras literales que TVE dejo que emitir pero no tenian mas datos.He tratado de buscar el canal manualmente y aunque en un principio lo fija pero cuando voy a other channels me sale un mensaje de canales diferentes a Sky por lo tanto no pasa nada.Alguna sugerencia por favor?Hay otra manera de recibir el canal?Gracias.

He intentado poner el canal manualmente pero no me va.Los primeros pasos bien y le doy al amarillo para que lo guarde (sale con un tick)pero cuando vuelvo a services-other channels me pone que tengo que incluirlo en el system set up algo que ya hice unos minutos antes.Ya van como 4 veces y el mismo problema,en un principio esta guardado pero despues no.Agradeceria alguna ayuda porque me estoy volviendo loca.He seguido todos los pasos dados anteriormente.Igual ha cambiado algo ya que esa informacion es de Mayo.Helpppp pleaseee!

Marta despues que lo has guardado el canal tvei con el boton amarillo vas de nuevo a TV Guide - Services scroll down hasta donde dice 9 Other Channels lo seleccionas y aparece tve selecionar y uala, ahora no le des al amarillo porque lo borras Suerte lo unico mala es que no puedse progarmar la caja de sky pero puedes programar tu video por si acaso

en la pagina web de freesat uk hay una seccion que te da opcion a hacer preguntas si todos preguntamos si incluirian tvei en su programacion seguro que lo incluiran, la verdad que dejo sky definitivamente de momento estamos pagando 50 libras al mes y con freesat consigues mas o menos lo mismo y es un solo pago sin mensualidades, si alguien tiene informacion de como conseguir tvei de momento, porque en tvei me dijeron que se puede conseguir gratis pero no se como hacerlo, valdria con la antena de sky y un descoficador normal?? es que soy un poco inutil para cosas tecnicas la verdad

TVE I left the Sky Digital platform at the end of last week (they chose not to re-new their EPG/carriage contract).
Consequently the channel ceased to be available @ 28.5 east today (Monday).
RTVE continue to provide pan European coverage of TVE I free to air @ 13.0 degrees east.

Yes James, sadly that is correct. The satellite signal on Eurobird has been switched off, so unfortunately adding it as an “additional station” on the Sky digibox no longer works
It seems that RTVE no longer wants to pay Sky for being on that platform. The only option now is to get a satellite system which can pick up the unencypted signal from Hotbird 8 at 13 degrees east. Details are in the document at http://www.rtve.es/docs/Parametros150209.pdf

Creo que deberiamos enviar nuestras protestas no solo a SKY si no tambien a TVE, puesto que la “culpa” es 50-50, teniendo en cuenta que si no se han puesto de acuerdo en la negociacion indica de que nadie a cedido un apice.
No se si SKY pide muho, pero TVE tambien deberia de pensar en nosotros, los que
vivimos en el extranjero. Demuestran no tener ninguna consideracion hacia nosotros
pues TVE es como un “hilio” de contacto con nuestras raices.
Quiza estoy equivocada, pero… es asi como pienso!!!!

Hola neus yo creo que tienes razon pero es que aunque lleguen a un acuerdo no quiero seguir con sky, porque despues de haber estado mirando mas posibilidades creo que sky es muy caro porque con otras compañias puedes pagar una vez y despues no pagar mensualidades por eso voy a quejarme a tvei tambien pero intentar que utilice negociar con otra plataforma porque sky customer services es horrible y pagar 50 libras al mes para lo que te dan a cambio es abusivo,
Alguien sabe como te puedes conectar a tvei ahora donde consigues la antena y el decodificador, como tiene que ser?

Estoy de acuerdo con lo que dices de que SKY es muy caro! pero yo “debo” quedarme
con ellos ya que mi hijo no se conforma en perder los canales de deportes de SKY
(en especial los fines de semana con los partidos de futbol de La Liga espanola)
Asi que, a rogar a Santa Rita, patrona de los imposibles, para que interceda y ayude a encontrar una solucion!!!!!!!!!

Ver las series por Internet no es lo mismo,en eso estoy de acuerdo.Yo he mandado una queja a Sky el sabado por email,hasta ahora nadie se ha dignado a contestarme,les da todo igual.He buscado por internet y no encuentro nada y Freesat no tiene TVE.Nosotros no estamos muy al dia de estas cosas de Hotbird y canales.Siempre tuvimos Sky desde que llegamos aqui y nunca pensamos que esta situacion podia darse.Nos daria rabia tener que dejar Sky sobre todo por mis hijos que estan enganchados a canales infantiles dificiles de encontrar con otros proveedores pero yo necesito una via de encontrar TVE.En la pagina web de TVE pone que en un futuro pueden negociar con otras plataformas pero eso sabe Dios cuando se va a materializar si es que llegan a algo.Un desastre para la comunidad espanola y latina,ya les vale.A ver si conseguimos algo o alguien tiene informacion.

Hi colin, freesat doesnt have the spanish channels at the moment but maybe they have in the future, if you go to website freesat uk you can see information about the company, the only thing they told me is that maybe is avaible in the future
The only way to watch spanish channel at the moment is to get a satellite system which can pick up the unencypted signal from Hotbird 8 at 13 degrees east. Details are in the document at http://www.rtve.es/docs/Parametros150209.pdf
but I dont know how to do that, no Idea what is hotbird or how you can do that…..
Maybe someone can explain to us how to do it???

It seems that Sky are still advertising TVEi as part of the Style and Culture package online. This doesn’t seem fair to me since it is now unavailable.
We changed over to Sky last year specifically to get TVEi and now it is gone we will be leaving Sky as soon as the 12 month contract is up. We have sent an email complaining to Sky but it seems impossible to get any real response.

Ana, it was RTVE that decided to pull out, so contacting Sky will not have any effect. TVEi will also not be available on Freesat, because Freesat also uses the satellites at 28.2 and 28.5 East, and TVEi has been switched off. You might have some luck if you can persuade RTVE to switch the signal at 28.5 back on again, and join Freesat. I get the impression that the people in Madrid don’t really understand the UK satellite TV market - they appear to think that there is no alternative to being encrypted on Sky. As of now, as Olga says in message #130, the only satellite carrying TVEi in Europe is now Hotbird at 13 degrees east, and unfortunately you will need a new dish and receiver.

I sent a e mail to rtve explaining to theirs about freesat and they say will pass the information to the comercial departament, but suppose this will take months….

Thanks for your email.
On Friday 2nd October TVEi (channel number 795) ceased broadcasting on the Sky platform. This decision was taken by TVEi.
The channel has come off Sky’s EPG and is no longer offered as part of the Style & Culture pack.
No decision has been made yet on whether the channel may return. For further information, please refer to the TVEi website http://www.rtve.es/television/tve-internacional/

Olga, I am not the best person to ask as I am in the Netherlands and I’m not familiar with what’s available in the UK. But a quick check with Google produced a link to http://www.satellites.co.uk/default.php which will probably point you in the right direction - and there are also forums there where you can ask questions. I am surprised that RTVE did this without warning, especially after the many complaints they had earlier this year. It looks as if they have serious financial problems, as many much smaller TV stations seem to be able to afford to be on Sky.

Hello, RTVEi is the way I continue been in touch with my country, the sudden decision to suspend this channel is bad, Sky is very greedy as to ask money to show a channel that it is free to get, I think the amount we are paying should cover the transmision of this channel without charging any more,,, I also use Sky to receive disney channels for the girls and have recently upgrade it to sky HP, I am really unhappy

Por favor avisen si hacen alguna queja formal a TVEi
Como muchos otros esa fue una de las razones de tener Sky… ademas de broadband y Telefono… pero si no es posible obtener TVEi de nuevo por medio de ellos no veo la razon de por lo menos seguir pagando por Sky tv.
Avisen por favor si proceden a ser una carta conjunta… yo me anoto.
Como muchos de uds. hoy llame a Sky para preguntar por el canal y me respondieron exactamente lo mismo que a uds… el canal ya no esta disponible… dirijase a l website para mas informacion…
Pero no medieron nada de retirar el pago adicional… que cosas no?

We are both mortified that TVEi has been taken off Sky. I contacted both TVE and SKY on Monday and confirmed that we will need new saterllite receiving equipment to receive this channel in the UK as pointed out by Andy and others. We spend two months a year in Galicia. We always follow Desde Galicia Para el Mundo on Saturdays and follow the Spanish Course Hola Que Tal. This is a real disaster! However, if someone out there can confirm the best equipment to buy - some Satellite Co in the UK will have a lot of business coming their way. If anyone successfully installs the required equipment please tell the world immediately.

hable con un tecnico esta mañana y me explico que una solución seria de instalar una barra en la parabolica de SKY, en donde esta el LNB y colocar otro LNB situado 13 grados Este pero tendriamos que comprar otro caja para recibir la señal en total costaria mas o menos 200 libras ester, linas mas el trabajo del tecnico, creo que ha no ser que RTVE coloque la señal en la platafroma de SKY estamos sin la programacion de tvei, otras ideas

Vamos por partes:
1. Descarto que sirva para algo envíar mensajes a Tele5 o A3, pues sería absurdo que apoyasen a la competencia qué representa TVE.
2. La opción de remitir cartas de protesta a la prensa puede ser mucho más útil. El País, El Mundo y Público podrían estar interesados en la historia. La Voz de Galicia, puede ser una buena opción por la másiva presencia gallega en el Reino Unido.
3. No debemos dejar de presionar (enviando e-mails de protesta) a TVE, SkyTV, PP y PSOE.
4. A lo largo del fin de semana, trataré de contactar con el Grupo Mixto del Congreso e intentaré que el Bloque Nacionalista Galego (BNG) presente algún tipo de iniciativa urgente. En cualquier caso, el problema será que TVE alegará que su emisión gratuíta a través del Hotbird 8, cumple con la función de servicio público que le encomienda la ley española.

Puede ser más útil que cada uno de nosotros cumplimente el formulario del PP que adjunto. Dará la impresión que somos muchos más y eso es importante en política y negocios. En España están los 2 grandes partidos estatales a la “greña” y si el PP creyese que puede sacar rentabilidad política de esta decisión de RTVE, los beneficiados seríamos nosotros pues el PSOE trataría de evitar una polémica relacionada con la desatención al emigrante por parte de un servicio público.

I have complaint to Sky and have been told that I will need an engineer to visit and reinstall the program, at a cost of £75 for the visit. Sky is also chasing me to start an insurance policy at £8.75 per month or a one time payment of £65 for the year. I think that it could be a sales pitch before the channel is re-installed to all of us.

It sounds very strange. Really sounds like a dirty scam. How they can reinstall TVEI?. Now, the channel is on another different sat, the Hotbird 8, and Sky is not receiving the signal through the Astra.
Although SkyTV dirty tactics are very famous, I will stay open/minded about it and awaiting more news.
Yeah, the insurance is real. It costs around £7 and covers breakdown.

Les escribo para expresar tambien mi descontento, desilusion, impotencia y frustracion al descubrir que desde el 2 de octubre no hemos podido tener acceso a tve internacional desde aqui en Inglaterra.
El numero de espanoles residentes en Inglaterra y otros amantes de nuestro pais, lengua y cultura es mi alto. Todos los que estamos trabajando por la difusion del castellano y la cultura hispana hemos visto como uno de los mas ricos recursos con el que contamos ha desaparecido de repente y sin previo aviso.
Hemos contactado en varias ocasiones con Sky, ref: canal 795 (tveinternacional) pero su respuesta siempre ha sido la misma; “rtve ha dejado de imitir”.
Nos preguntamos, tanto anunciar el programa Que tal?, pagina web con programacion internacional, elecciones europeas, etc PARA QUE????
NO TENEMOS ACCESO A NINGUNO DE ESTOS SERVICIOS!!!!!!
Esta el Instituto Cervantes, la embajada de Espana en Inglaterra y la Conserjeria de educacion en Londres en esto?

Indudablemente es una decisión empresarial y sólo si la protesta trasciende al ámbito político tendremos opciones de que TVEI pueda estar disponible a través de SKY. Me da la impresión que SKY ha decidido que TVEI debe asumir los costes de emisión, por lo que no confío que la resolución del problema venga de la parte británica, salvo que se encuentren ante un quebranto económico importante.
Es dificil pues TVEI cumple con la ley (es gratis verla a través del Hotbird
y SKY está convencido que la perdida de clientes puede ser asumida. Obviamente, la falta de respeto que esta plataforma, habitualmente, tiene hacia sus clientes es otro inconveniente.
En cualquier caso, creo que la nueva vía de protesta que propones, el Instituto Cervantes, podría ser interesante, así que -en unas horas- colocaré el enlace para que podamos mostrarles nuestra indignación.
Repito: esta lucha sólo la podremos ganar a través de una masiva campaña de e-mails a TVEI, Sky, PSOE, PP, prensa, etc; así que, popularizar la causa es un objetivo inexcusable.

1. Creo, tendría que revisar el contrato, que la parabólica es tuya, así que si te compras un decodificador abierto, no necesitas pagar nada a SKY pues esos canales los recibirás libremente.
2. He pasado la petición al Bloque Nacionalista Galego y tendré más información al respecto el Lunes o Martes.
3. Asumo que TVEI no va a regresar a SKY TV, salvo que SKY sufra perdidas considerables debido a la retirada del canal. En cualquier caso, la actitud “chulesca” de la cadena de Murdoch, no nos deja muchas esperanzas.

….Y, Olga, lo prometido es deuda. A continuación te paso la información sobre el decodificador que utilizan los españoles qué, en esta area, captan los canales de nuestro Estado:
1. En principio debes saber que cualquier decodificador es valido pues lo importante es que el plato este orientado al satélite correcto (Astra o Hispasat). Cuando compras el decodificador debes confirmar que es valido para ver los canales en abierto. En UK son más baratos que en España, aunque el aparato que estos compañeros están utilizando fue comprado allá y su marca es TBOSTON DVB-4500.
2. Un plato (parabólica) de 90 cm es suficiente y puede estar orientado al Astra1B1A o al Hispasat. Los antenistas, deben estar avisados que deseas ver los canales españoles y ellos mismos estudiarán la orientación y el satélite más útil para la zona en la que resides.
3. Por cierto: es bastante barato y los propios instaladores suelen vender el material necesario.

un instalador de sky me ha dicho que con un plato de 55 cm es suficiente para los canales del astra1. Sabe alguien si es correcto y necesitare un plato mas grande para tener mejor imagen?

Un plato de 55 cm puede valer si es instalado en un punto óptimo para la recepción. En cualquier caso, el plato de 90 cm evita muchos problemas en aquellos casos en los que la instalación no es ideal (ventanas, zonas bajas…).

Si no tienes problemas con el landlord o con el Council, te recomiendo el plato de 90 cm. La diferencia de precio es mínima y -desde luego- evitas problemas de señal. Normalmente, la señal del Hispasat o Hotbird 8 es muy buena, pero nadie está libre de sorpresas y es absurdo que por unas libras te arriesgues a una reinstalación. Es importante que el antenista sea bueno y competente para que te realice una instalación correcta y segura.

No es molestia. De verdad.
Cada uno de los instaladores “tira” hacia su lado, principalmente el de SKY pues “su” satélite es el Astra.
Aun teniendo en cuenta, que a través del Astra se pueden ver las autonómicas o TVE, te recomiendo que instales la parabólica hacia el Hispasat pues el número de canales que emite en libre (de España) es mayor. Puedes verlos en esta lista:

Otra de las ventajas, es que el Hispasat da menos desagradables sorpresas que el Astra, cuyos principales intereses económicos no están, mayoritariamente, con los espectadores españoles. En cualquier caso, si te vieses forzada a orientarla cara al Astra, todavía verías bastantes canales del Estado Español.
Una última recomendación: no dejes que el instalador se vaya hasta que puedas confirmar que la recepción de esos canales españoles es correcta.

1. No dudeis que es un robo cualquier servicio de instalación que pase de £200. Por supuesto que saben que TVEI ha desaparecido del SKY, así que ojo!!.
2. Por supuesto que podéis dejar la antena del SKY o reorientarla si es de vuestra propiedad. Y de interferencias, nada de nada pues ya van equipadas con un dispositivo que las evita.
3. TVEI me confirmó esta mañana que no hay nada definitivo. En cualquier caso, también podría darse la circunstancia que Virgin entrase en el “juego” y el canal terminase en la compañía de Richard Branson. Yo, definitivamente, me daré 15 días más antes de cualquier decisión definitiva.

4. Mi reflexión es la siguiente: si es conocido que hay unos 4000 españoles que tienen contratado SKY TV, ¿cómo es posible que sólo 27 pertenezcamos a este grupo?. Considero que la última “fase” de nuestro esfuerzo sería que algún medio escrito británico publicase (una noticia breve sería más que suficiente) la existencia de este grupo. Obviamente, estoy pensando en los grupos mediáticos rivales de Rupert Murdoch, por lo que ya podemos ir descartando The Sun o The Times.
Creo que el planteamiento de SKY, no sería el mismo si trascendiese que existe un grupo de 100 personas en Facebook, en clara oposición a la desaparición en su plataforma, sin previo aviso, de TVEI.

Mañana comenzaré a envíar notas de prensa cortas, cartas y mensajes SMS (hay algunas secciones) a los periódicos de los grupos mediáticos rivales de Rupert Murdoch: Daily Mirror, The Guardian, The Independent, Daily Mail, Daily Telegraph y Daily Express.
Creo que es fundamental dar a conocer la existencia del grupo que tenemos en Facebook. SKY no tendrá en cuenta a un grupo de presión que, al menos, no ronde los 100 miembros. Puede ser nuestra oportunidad final de presionar a la compañía.

After all the correspondences from hispanophones across the British Isles and Europe about how to reconnect with spanish language TV programmes on satellite, it seems there is maybe a reason to bring back a revamped version of the ‘Happy Station’ which I remember used to go out in English and Spanish and served as a bridge for family and friends around the world.

He llegado a vuestro foro por casualidad buscando alguna manera de poder ver TVEi en la plataforma sky. Vivo en Irlanda desde hace unos años y para mi era fundamental poder ver este canal para estar encontacto con mi pais. Me consta que no soy la única y además me parece esencial que al menos haya un canal que hable castellano en esta plataforma, no solo por la cantidad de españoles que estamos en Reino Unido e Irlanda, sino porque hay muchísima gente aprendiendo nuestro idioma y que le es de mucha ayuda.
Me parece vergonzoso que hagan reportajes sobre el dia del español en el Instituto Cervantes de Dublin, que digan que cada dia hay más gente interesada en aprendercastellano y de pronto nos corten una de las vías mas importates para aprender y difundir nuestra cultura.
En fin, yo me acabo de unir al foro en facebook y le mandaré a todos mis contactos el link para que se unan, a ver si entre todos podemos aportar algo.

Hola y saludos a todos los colegas Españoles aqui por Inglaterra, yo me encuentro en Maldon Essex. Soy inglés pero me crié en Málaga y claro lo hecho de menos, Para ver canales Españoles es mejor hacer lo que yo hice hace ya 5 años, pagué para que me instalaran una parabolica apuntando a Astra 19.2ºe y alli veo TVEi, Andalucía tv, Aragon tv, Extremadura tv, ETB (Euskadi), TV Galicia, TV Canaria, Tele Madrid, y ya otros como Canal Club, EHS (canal de compras) Cubavision, telesur (Argentina) y ya uno portugues y uno Italiano eso todo en abierto osea GRATIS os lo recomiendo,porque ademas el sky solamente mete un canal el TVEi un saludo a todos,un abrazo muy fuerte mi correo y messenger es:

Desde hace meses estamos tratando de poder volver a ver TVEi, primero cuando lo quitaron lo buscamos por la frecuencia y quedo den otros canales. Hace 2 meses desaparecio por completo y no tenemos ni un canal de habla hispana en Sky.
POR FAVOR queremos volver a poder ver este canal y tiene que ver una forma de poderlo configurar si alguien sabe algo como hacerlo por favor contactme como hacerlos.

Esto es una desgracia para tod@s l@s emigrantes que nos sentimos mas cerca de nuuestra tierra a traves de nuestra querida TVEi.Me siento desamparado y olvidado,era mi alegria de todos los dias ver mi telediario y los programas que me encantaban…Se que la pagina web de TVE tiene la television a la carta pero no es lo mismo…No me creo que no vayan a hacer nada.Se toman decisiones sin tener en cuenta la repercusion!,Sigo confiando que alguien con poder lea todas nuestras notas y hagan algo.

TVEi is now moving from Hispasat to Eutelsat on Hotbird 13c e. From 15 jan 2010 it will no longer be on Hispasat.
This was announced on tvei on Hispasat today in writing at the bottom of the screen throughout the day.

I was told that we don’t need another satelite dish but just need to get the engineer to ajust it slightly to point at the Hotbird satelite. But there are less Spanish channels on hotbird. It will just be TVEi and Canal 24 hours. I am going to wait and see if it’s worth changing or staying with Hispasat. We can watch TVEi on the computer anyway. With the flat screen tvs I beleive you can run a lead from the computer to the tv to watch it on tv. Not sure how good the picture will be.

I may stay with HISPASAT and just watch the Spanish regional channels. My wife is from Aragon and will watch Aragon tv. My satelite engineer thinks they may start charging a subsciption to watch TVEi on Hotbird, Eutelsat. I don\’t know though, lets wait and see.

As TVEi will no longer be on Hispasat after tomoorow. Does anyone know how to subribe to the scrambled pay channels on Hispasat. How much do they cost?.

Hasta mayo del 2009 estuve conectada a Hotbird por parabolica,de repente dejo de transmitir. Siendo española en Uk, queria ver la loteria de navidad y celebrar el año nuevo a las 11 de la noche y comiendo uvas. Llame a un tecnico el 22/12/09 y me cambiaron la parabolica del este al oeste de la casa para enfocar a Hispasat a un coste de £218,50:( SAD. Sin llevar 4 semanas, RTVE anuncia que pasa de nuevo a hotbird…vuelvo a llamar al tecnico y me dice que me cobraria la cantidad anterior AGAIN, sugiere que instale otro DISH en la parte este de la casa para estar preparara por si acaso hay otro cambio y, dejar el antiguo el que ahora enfoca a HISPASAT en la posicion orbital y frecuencia que tiene.
A todo esto, he mandado 3 correos a TVE y se deben de haber perdido en el espacio porque no hay replica. Moraleja: la parabolica sale por un pico.

Hola a todos. Quería saber si alguien ha conseguido ver TVE en el nuevo satelite y si se pueden ver más canales españoles además de este y el canal 24 horas. Yo tengo una parabólica apuntando al hispasat pero no quiero moverla si me dicen que apuntando a hotbird voy a perder el resto de canales que veo ahora solo por TVE y la información que consigo en internet es muy contradictoria.

Hi I would like to know if there is anybody who got to see TVE on the new satellite and if you can see any more spanish channels apart from TVE and Canal 24h. I have a dish orientated to Hispasat but I don´t want to move it if I am going to lose the rest of channels I can watch now just for TVE and the information I see on the internet is not clear.

We also miss tvei but as they have changed satelites a few times we cannot trust them not to move again. We originally had tvei on Sky but it went. We are going to stick with Hispasat as I don\’t think there are many other Spanish channels on Eutelsat. Hopefully tvei will com back to Hispasat.
This link tells you where tvei is.But don’t know if it’s up to date.
Look up Europe and free tv and you will see the links on the Spanish flag.

Recien veo este blog! Ya me registre en el grupo en FB! Voy a seguir esperando a que se estabilicen todos estos cambios ya que my subs con SKy se termina este Octubre … luego pienso no renovarla y poner otro satelite. Un sat tecnico me dijo que lo mejor era poner un multi dish para no tener problemas con recepcion y cambios de emision en satelites diferentess de tiempo en tiempo.
Tanta pena todavia despues de tanto tiempo! Mis hijos y yo veiamos Aguila Roja, la segunda serie ya comenzo de nuevo! Soy peruana y vivo en NE England

Sabes que puedes ver la telenovela online? si vas a rtve.es y eliges series podras ver todos los capitulos online. No se cuantos habrá y por donde irá porque yo no lo veía, pero ahí los ves.

Has anyone changed from Hispasat to Hotbird to see TVEi ? We are thinking about it as also Aragon tv has gone from Hispasat but can be watched on computer. We want to watch TVEi and may change to hotbird. Has anyone done that on this forum ? Was it an easy changeover ?

Una cosa que me a pasado a mi con el digibox es que una serie de canales me han desaparecido, es decir quando pongo este canal me sale una frase que pone que hay un problema tecnico con estos canales y que lo intente mas tare, pero nunca vuelven. Los otros canales se me ven bien. Queria io saber si es problema de la antena que la tengo mal orientada o del aparato???

I receive Spanish tv TVEi on hotbird. About every 25 seconds when someone speaks it misses a word they say. Sound goes for about a second every 25 seconds. It only does it on TVEi and not the other channels.
Does anyone know why and how to remedy it ?

We have a televes satelite receiver. TVEi and Canal 24 horas loses sound for a second every 60 seconds. It dosn’t happen with other channels. Does anyone no why and how to fix it please ?.
