Turkish company to build new broadcasting HQ in Turkmenistan

The Turkish company Polimeks has been awarded the contract for the construction of a new building for the Ministry of Culture and TV and Radio Broadcasting of Turkmenistan.
According to a decree signed by Turkmen president Saparmurat Niyazov, the new building will be located in Neutral Turkmenistan Avenue, occupying 10,664 square metres with the adjoining territory of 13,000 square metres. Under the contract terms, the construction will cost US$ 14.5 million, including landscaping of the adjoining territory. The work should start in October 2005 and finish in February 2007.
