Radio Netherlands, along with the majority of international broadcasters, changes to its summer frequency schedule tomorrow. For listeners to our English service, there are also two time changes:
The morning transmission to North America moves to 1100-1200 UTC instead of 1200-1300 UTC. Contrary to information in the printed version of On Target, this change will take place tomorrow and there will be no repeat broadcast at 1200 UTC for the one week when the US and Canada are still on Standard Time.
For listeners in Europe, the mediumwave service on 1512 kHz is discontinued following the decision of Radio Vlaanderen Internationaal to drop most of its shortwave transmissions - thus the exchange of airtime ends. We have arranged a one-hour transmission on Radio Sweden’s mediumwave transmitter on 1179 kHz. Unfortunately this is very late - 2300-2400 UTC - but is the only solution we can find.
A complete technical schedule for the summer period is now available on our website.
Harry de Han in Australia has noted an error on this page: The schedule in Dutch to Australia/New Zealand should read 0600-0700 on 9625 to New Zealand and 0700-0800 on 9625 kHz to Australia. The listing of 11655 at 0700-0800 should have been deleted. My apologies - this and any other errors will be corrected on Tuesday as I cannot access the website from outside the firewall.
