Radio France Internationale (RFI) and Radio-Canada, the French language domestic radio service of the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, have reached an agreement which will result in some RFI programmes being broadcast on the 1st Programme of Radio-Canada. From 4 October, Canadian listeners will hear RFI news 7 days a week at 2300 local time. Some RFI cultural material will also be heard on weekdays from 2000 local time in the “Porte ouverte” slot. RFI news correspondents in Africa will also be heard on Radio-Canada’s news programmes.
