Radio Waddenzee broadcasting via a transmitter on a ship

Jenni BayntonDutch regional commercial broadcaster Radio Waddenzee, based in Harlingen, Friesland, is currently on the air on 1602 kHz from a transmitter on board its vessel Jenni Baynton, the former lightship “Light Vessel Number Eight”. During this time, the regular  mediumwave transmitter in Pietersbierum has been switched off. Broadcasts from the ship began at 1200 UTC and will end at 1800 UTC. This is a test transmission to check out the coverage of the shipborne transmitter, and reception reports are welcomed to info@radiowaddenzee.nl.
