Radio and Television Slovakia to be led by Miloslava Zemkova

“A makeshift budget and appointing deputy directors will be my first steps in the post of Radio and Television Slovakia’s head” , said Miloslava Zemkova, who was appointed RTVS interim director on Saturday. RTVS as a new public service institution came into existence on Saturday following merger of the Slovak Television and the Slovak Radio.

Ms Zemkova was chosen by Parliamentary Chairman Richard Sulik, who had two candidates to choose from. Apart from Ms Zemkova, there was also STV director Stefan Niznansky.

“Daniela Vasinova former Radio economic director will become the deputy director for Slovak Radio and Lubos Machaj, former Radio programme director, will become deputy director of Slovak Television,”  Ms Zemkova’s spokesperson Alexandra Stullerova Korenova told the media.
