Contrary to what was widely reported yesterday, Radio 10 Gold and Juize FM are not part of the deal which saw RTL Nederland buy Radio 538 along with TV channel Tien. Radio 10 Gold and Juize FM are officially part of Talpa Radio International, not Talpa Radio Nederland. Talpa Radio International also owns Radio 100FM in Denmark, and - at least for now - remains in the hands of John de Mol.

Just how many Talpas are there and what are there various positions ?
In this article, we have mention of Talpa Radio Nederland and Talpa Radio International. There are also Talpa Media Group, Talpa Media Holding, and simply Talpa Radio.
I’d love to know what all these Talpa’s are for. Then, of course, one has to remember that there are other Talpas and other enterprises belonging to John de Mol, such as Cyrte, his investment company.
No wonder there has been confusion over what exactly it is that RTL has acquired.

Dutch broadcasting doesn’t get any simpler does it? I think we follow things so far (just - don’t we?)! But then again, it’s this sort of thing which makes radio and tv in Holland so interesting, always has done. Always something going on.

“Radio 10 Gold and Juize FM are officially part of Talpa Radio International, not Talpa Radio Nederland. Talpa Radio International also owns Radio 100FM in Denmark, and - at least for now - remains in the hands of John de Mol.”
Radio 10 Gold and Juize FM and Radio Digitaal are part of Talpa Media Holding NV which owns Talpa Radio Nederland BV and Talpa Radio BV which are the (current) holding companies of Radio 538, Radio 10 Gold and Juize FM. Talpa Media Holding NV is owned for 80 % by Talpa Beheer BV and 20 % by Rabobank Nederland.
Talpa Beheer BV is 100 % owned by John de Mol. Talpa Beheer BV is the owner of Radio 100 FM in Denmark and is NO part of the current Dutch radioholdings as Rabobank didn’t want to invest in Radio 100 FM resulting Talpa Beheer BV to be the owner of Radio 100 FM and not Talpa Radio BV or Talpa Media Holding NV.
Talpa Radio International doesNOT exist anymore as a holding.
Radio 538 (VRON or Vrije Radio Omroep Nederland) will be sold by Talpa Media Holding NV to RTL Nederland BV (which now is 100 % RTL Group SA after the deal 73,7 % RTL Group SA).
I know it is complicated…but which companystructure of mediamoguls is simple?

Anyway: it is expected that Radio 10 Gold will stop with its 1008 kHz AM-broadcast this weekend or soon after. It will be replaced initially with a promo reffering people to listen through other infrastructures after which the AM will be shut down.
