Polish survey shows drop in number of Internet users

Warsaw, November 18: Even only some 50 per cent of Poles use the Internet, their number has not been growing anymore, the Puls Biznesu daily reported on Wednesday.

According to results of a NetTrack survey carried out by SMG/KRC Poland Media, the number of Poles using the Internet went down from 49.5 per cent in July 2009 to 49.4 per cent in September. Even a very slight one, this has been the first drop in the number of Internet users since 2001 when such surveyes were launched.

According to experts quoted by the daily access to the Internet in Poland has been limited by technical conditions and prices that are too high for many Poles.
