Islamabad, 28 March: Pakistan Television (PTV) will launch its PTV Global channel from UK on 2 April with an aim to project soft image of the country and promote cultural life of Pakistan.
The channel would telecast variety of programmes including entertainment, infotainment, news, current affairs, religious programmes and documentaries, said a press release issued by PTV Corporation here on Wednesday [28 March]. Pakistani community in UK described the launch of PTV Global as the greatest gift from PTV.
The channel is being launched on BSkyB, a leading DTH Platform in UK, the press release said, adding that initially PTV Global in UK will be a free-to-air channel and its transmission will be available in almost entire Europe.
The press release described it a major landmark in the history of PTV.
