NHK to launch streaming of domestic radio channels

Japanese public broadcaster NHK will launch a live online streaming service of its three domestic radio channels from 11am JST on 1 September. However, it only be available inside Japan. The new service, NHK Net Radio, will also be known as Radiru Radiru. From 1 October the service will also be available on smartphones.

    Since 1 September the links produce a pop-up player. No success comes from this - there is an immediate error message in Japanese covering the “controls”.
    Perhaps this shows a need for subscription or some other arrangement.

    That’s not surprising, as you apparently located in the UK, and as the story says “However, it only be available inside Japan.”
