New TV channel in UK to target over 50s

Music from the 1940s to the 1980s is to feature in what is being billed as the UK’s first popular culture television channel targeting the over 50s. Vintage TV will debut on 1 September this year with a line-up of presenters including Paul Gambaccini, while its team also includes as programme and music consultant acclaimed music expert and radio producer Phil Swern. His credits include producing both Pick Of The Pops and Sounds Of The Sixties for BBC Radio 2.

It’s what is needed, nobody shows it anymore! It should be FTA on Eurobird1 without encryption on Freesat/Sky 24h a day to UK and Europe.

Music videos did not exist in 1976? ? (from Music Week)

They date back to at least 1967 (Strawberry Fields / Penny Lane) !
