New satellite TV channel broadcasting to Iran

Kahkeshan TV is a new satellite channel whose aim is to inform and entertain Iranian and other Persian-speaking viewers with a large variety of programmes dealing with issues related to life in Iran as well as in the world at large. Documentaries, interviews, concerts, theatre, cinema, literature,… Iranians involved in these activities and living abroad are in the forefront.

In the very near future, Kahkeshan TV will launch a dynamic interactive internet platform that will give the opportunity to its viewers to shape the channel to their liking. In the meantime, the station already has YouTube, Myspace and Facebook accounts. The station currently operates at 1030- 2230 UTC.

    IRAN trvaelled away to CHINA and beat them 2-0 on Friday 3rd September 2010 in a Friendly Football International not covered by any UK TV station ? Will this new channel be any different if we can receive it in Birmingham using a Zone 2 satellite dish ?
