New frequency for BVN/RNW on Hotbird satellite at 13° East

Our television service BVN and the audio streams of RNW have moved to transponder 95 on the Hotbird satellite at 13 degrees East,  serving SE Europe, the Middle East, Central Asia and North Africa. The new frequency, officially in service from today, is 12.207 GHz, Horizontal polarisation. The old frequency, 12.303 GHz, will be switched off on 1 July 2009.

NB: This is a planned move, unconnected with recent reports of Iranian jamming of some international satellite services.
