A new local TV station called Catalan TV will start broadcasting next week in Alguer, Sardinia, becoming the first TV channel broadcasting in Catalan on the island, where approximatelt 40% of the population speak Catalan. Catalan TV, a private station, will initially broadcast six hours per day, 50% in Catalan and 50% in Italian. This will be increased to 9 hours in September, and sixteen hours in 2005.

    Congratulations! Very nice project!
It contrasts with the Països Valencians politicians that try to cut the emissions of TV3 (in Catalan). They want to finish up with Catalan. What a lack of intelligence! There\’s nothing more stupid than deny their own roots.
    Go on.
