The Lhasa People’s Radio Station will be on air on May 1, broadcasting in both Tibetan and Han languages, according to Lhasa Evening News. The station’s signals will cover Lhasa’s urban areas, its seven counties and one district. The station will use FM 91.4 after obtaining the approval of the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television, said Xu Weijun, deputy director of the Lhasa Radio and Television Station.
The station will focus on broadcasting news service from the Central People’s Radio Station and Tibet People’s Radio Station. It will also launch some programmes of its own. The station will operate from 7:50 am to 10:10 pm [local time].
