Korea: DMB users warned of malfunction

Users of terrestrial-DMB (digital multimedia broadcasting) TV receivers in Korea are being asked to check with manufacturers for an upgrade as soon as possible due to critical malfunctions that are expected to happen in the middle of this month. According to companies, most of the T-DMB mobile TV receivers sold before around March are expected to experience malfunctions due to technical glitches from October 16, when broadcasters KBS, MBC and SBS start to send out a data transmitting signal called BIFS (Binary Format for Scenes).
