Italy’s Mediaset re-launches international TV channel

Tomorrow, 7 March, Italian commercial broadcaster Mediaset is re-launching its Mediaset Italia TV channel for Italian expats - estimated to be 60 million worldwide. The channel broadcasts a selection of the best programmes aired by terrestrial TV channels Canale 5, Italia 1 and Rete 4 and the main editions of their news bulletins.

From tomorrow, Mediaset Italia will be available on satellite and/or cable in Europe, North America, South America and Australia. The re-launch to a wider audience follows the decision of Italy’s national broadcaster RAI to cease production of programming for expats at the end of 2011.
