IRIB urged to set up network broadcasting films with Arabic subtitles

The establishment of a TV network broadcasting films and serials with Arabic subtitles, has been proposed to Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting. Announcing this, the deputy director for international affairs of IRIB noted that once the proposal is approved, the 24-hour network will be launched for the Middle East region.

“As per the latest studies, most of the families residing in the Middle East are interested in such films and serials due to their ethical values,” Mohammad Sarafraz added.

    Eli, if IRIB is such a huge farce maybe it should consider launching a comedy channel ;-)

    On a serious note, IRIB Arabic Al-Alam News TV Channel is quite popular in the Gulf. Curiously, Al-Alam also runs the English news website. As if PressTV.com wasn’t enough.

    Iranian movies have won an international acclaim on quite a few movie festivals in the West.
