The Indian government today said it has shortlisted 70 companies for financial bidding in phase-II of FM radio expansion. As many as 100 companies, from diverse sectors, are believed to have made applications for some of the more than 300 frequencies and radio stations up for grabs across 91 cities. The government said it may come with a supplementary list in the next few days if some other players were also found eligible for the second round.
