First anniversary of 7 July London bombings - BBC coverage

The national two-minute silence at noon tomorrow (1100 UTC) to mark the first anniversary of the 7 July bombings in London will be reflected on BBC services and programmes. BBC News and Current Affairs will mark the anniversary of the bomb attacks in London with coverage on television, radio and online.

Breakfast will be extended on BBC ONE until 10.00am and simulcast with BBC News 24. There will be a News 24 special on BBC ONE from 11.55am to 12.05pm (1055-1105 UTC) which incorporates the nationwide two-minute silence. The CBBC channel will also observe the silence. Later, Natasha Kaplinsky will co-present the Six O’Clock News (BBC ONE and News 24) from Regents Park and BBC London will be broadcast live from the same area. The evening commemorative event from Regents Park will be available in full from BBC News 24 and there will be coverage of the day’s events on the Ten O’Clock News and on Newsnight.

All BBC Radio networks will be observing the two-minute silence and radio news programmes will reflect the anniversary in different ways during the day including live elements, interviews and outside broadcasts.
