The Director-General of Radio Netherlands Worldwide, Jan Hoek, has been appointed chairperson of the International Broadcasting Group of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU). The group comprises all the European international broadcasters, including RNW, Deutsche Welle, Radio France Internationale/France24 and the BBC World Service.
International public service broadcasters who are members of the EBU exchange strategic expertise within the International Broadcasting Group. Topics range from recent developments in the area of content and marketing to new distribution platforms.
Mr Hoek’s appointment is for a period of two years.
