Officials of the Mongolian National Public Radio and Television (MNPRT) have met with a delegation of Deutsche Welle, headed by Erik Bettermann, the DW TV’s Director-General. The sides shared views on some issues, and established a cooperation deal. The cooperation contract was signed Tuesday by Mr Bettermann and M Naranbaatar, Director-General of the MNPRT.
In accordance with the deal, the two broadcasters will exchange programmes, prepare joint programmes, specialists and officials of the MNPRT will be involved in related training in Germany, the Mongolian Radio will air programmes in the German language, and will translate DW TV’s best broadcasts into Mongolian.
At the meeting held after the contract inking, DW TV invited the MNPRT’s officials to learn German experiences and become au fait with its public televisions and radio institutions. “DW TV is the biggest partner of Mongolian public television and radio. We have been cooperating since early 90s,” says G Ider-Uugan, a senior official of MNPRT’s foreign relations.
