The Dutch radio listening figures for June/July 2009 were published this morning by research bureau Intomart GfK. It was a good period for the public broadcasters. Popular music network Radio 3FM increased its market share to 9.1 percent, the same as Sky Radio which was unchanged from May/June. News and talk channel Radio 1 registered a big increase of 0.8 percent, and is comfortably ahead of Q-music in fifth place. The rise is most likely due to the large amount of sport that was taking place this summer, and covered by Radio 1.
100%NL continued its relentless increase in overall market share by a further 0.3 percent. Its performance in its key target group of females aged 20-49 is even more impressive. It currently lies in eighth place overall behind Radio Veronica, but the difference in share has shrunk from 2.1 to 1.3 percent as Radio Veronica lost 0.5 percent of its share. In the past few months, 100%NL has been the only commercial station to record consistent month-on-month rises in its audience share, while its rivals have seen their shares stay virtually flat or decline.

I discovered 100%NL last year during my holidays and I find it one of the best stations in Europe.
