Dutch radio and TV advertising on road to recovery

Radio and TV advertising in the Netherlands is making a good recovery following the economic crisis. According to latest figures from market research company Nielsen, the television spend in the first quarter of 2010 was 3.6 percent higher than in the first quarter of 2009, at 580 million euro. Radio grew even more, with a spend of 118 million euro in the first quarter of 2010, which is 6.1 percent higher than in the first quarter of 2009. The growth for radio in February was a remarkable 13.6 percent compared to one year ago.
