The Czech Foreign Ministry has selected 17 projects aimed at the support of human rights and civil society in Belarus, Cuba, Iraq, Georgia, Myanmar, Serbia and Moldova. According to previous information, the Foreign Ministry this year allotted 20 million crowns for projects designed to support democracy. Among them, the international association Civil Belarus that support non-governmental organisations will receive money to finance independent radio broadcasts for Belarus and consulting services and the Archdiocese Charity Prague will receive financial aid for the training of Belarussian students.

Hahaha. Czech Foreign Ministry is so hilarious! Only 700,000 Euros as a grant and 17 worthy projects from Cuba to Myanmar and everything in-between! Something like 40K Euros per project. I can’t believe they missed Iran and North Korea, though
On a serious note, I wish they’d pick up one good project and try doing it well. I would think Serbia should be the best place for Czech Republic to try making a difference.
