China Radio International is organizing a Chinese speaking contest for foreigners in China on Saturday, 26 July, 2008 with the theme: “I am looking forward to the Olympics”. Qualified candidates will be selected for the contest on the 26th on the basis of their background information. Those with special talents will be given priority.
The content of the speech should be closely related to the theme “I am looking forward to the Olympics.” The whole speech should be within three minutes. Some contestants will be asked to perform at a talent round.
There will be prizes for first, second, and third place, as well as best performance and best participant. Winning contestants will be awarded with the Olympic commemorative stamp albums and Olympic mascot Fuwa. They will also have the opportunity to visit the studio of China Radio International in the International Broadcast Center (IBC).
