On 1 February 1 Belarus-TV celebrates its 7th birthday. Today its broadcasting geography includes 246 cities in 12 countries of the world, and the potential audience is about 200 million viewers.
Belarus-TV is developing together with new technologies. In the near future it will change its name and logotype and will appear under the brand Belarus 24. The TV channel strives to be a dynamic TV guide for confident business people in the world of politics, economy and culture. Today the TV channel broadcasts 24 hours a day 7 days a week and tells the foreign audience about the most interesting and topical events which take place not only in Belarus, but in the world as well.
The team of the channel is always working on creating new original projects. For example, on Mondays and Wednesdays at 5:30 pm [1430 UTC] the programme “24 Questions. Objective-Conference” with Dmitry Bochkov, which gives information first hand and touches upon the most relevant issues which interest the viewers, airs on the TV channel. And on 24 January a joint project with the First National Channel of the Belarusian Radio “Microphone of Interest” started. Now the most popular radio brand, which turned 40 this year, will not only be heard, but also seen on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5:30 pm [1430 UTC].
The director of the TV channel, Kirill Kazakov, says: “Belarus-TV is now in virtual space as well. The users of our web-site www.belarus-tv.by have the possibility to communicate interactively. Besides, it is always possible to find out news and see photos from the filming of our special projects on the official pages of the channel on Facebook and Twitter. We invite the audience to watch Belarus-TV and keep up with recent events.”
