BBCWS chief says VOA employees are there to “project a US political view”

BBC World Service Director Nigel Chapman has told The Times that “Other international broadcasters are locked into their perspective.” He points out that Voice of America employees, for example, are civil servants, with an explicit purpose “to project a US political view”. 

The comment was made in a profile of the BBCWS to mark its 75th birthday.

    As are ALL other international broadcasters including the BBC!
    Obviously, each country represents its views/opinions.
    So it is with the BBC as well! Come on Nigel….
