Australian indigenous TV gets 12 months funding guarantee

The Australian Federal Government has guaranteed funding for the National Indigenous Television Service for a further 12 months, but is reviewing its investment after that. The Government funds three indigenous television organisations, five indigenous radio stations and many remote broadcasting services. The Indigenous Affairs Minister, Jenny Macklin, says the Government is reviewing all of the services to make sure they are adequate for indigenous people.
