Arrow Jazz FM back on terrestrial FM

Radiocommunications Agency Netherlands has granted a licence to Exceed Jazz BV for the provision of a national jazz service on FM. There were four applications for the licence, but three did not comply with the minimum requirements. Exceed Jazz BV has gained the nationwide FM licence under the obligation to introduce a digital service. Exceed Jazz is a sister company of Conclusion, which has owned Arrow Jazz FM since 2010. This means that Arrow Jazz FM will return to terrestrial FM for the first time since 2009, when its licence was rescinded due to non-payment of licence fees.

The station intends to start broadcasting to the Randstad (the urban agglomeration of the Western Netherlands) on 1 September, and extend to the whole country as soon as possible.
