Arrow Classic Rock and Arrow Jazz FM to be relaunched

Arrow Classic Rock and Arrow Jazz FM are to be relaunched, but only on cable and Internet. Ad Ossendrijver, the boss of the bankrupt companies Crosspoints BV and Rokit BV, has bought the rights to the names of the two stations through his new company Mediad BV. Arrow’s third station, Caz!, will continue on Internet only. Mr Ossendrijver says he has two new shareholders, whose identities he has so far not revealed. Two large cable providers in the Netherlands, Ziggo and UPC, are said to be in discussions over the continued delivery of the Arrow stations, though Mr Ossendrjver says that he has reached agreement with other operators.

Nothing has so far been announced about what will happen to the mediumwave frequency, 828 kHz, recently used by Arrow Classic Rock.

the AM 828 kHz falls back to the ownership of the government as a consequence of bankrupcy….(cannot be sold as a consequence)

David, What I understand from the Telcom Agency that they do not take the frequenncy back, but that it can only be transferred to another party with their permission.

But with bankrupcy in the conditions of use it should be mentioned that it automatically falls back to the state….

Its a great pity we can no longer hear it on a.m. in the U.K. It was a really good station, nothing to equall it here in U.K.

I agree with Paul. This station is better then anything here in the UK. However I am lucky to be able to hear it via the internet.
