Following the collapse of the Dutch cabinet at the weekend, parliamentary elections will be held on 9 June. Until that time, the functions of the various PvdA (Labour) ministers who have left the government will be divided amongst the remaining ministers and their deputies. One of the outgoing ministers is Ronald Plasterk, who as Minister of Education, Culture and Science also held the media portfolio. His media responsibilities have been assumed by the Deputy Minister, Marja van Bijsterveldt (pictured).

The person responsible for Media in fact is Ms van Bijsterveldt (Christian Democrat), she was a sub?minister at the sama ministry.

The technical/frequency part used to be in the hands of Mr Heemskerk, but I guess now managed by Ms van der Hoeven (CDA).
It is unclear if the renewal of the Commercial Radio Frequencies in 2011, linked to the introduction DAB+, and the re-alocation of the 2 former Arrow FM networks will be carried out as sheduled.

Thanks Ruud, I have updated the story (and headline). It seems that Mr Rouvoet, originally reported to be responsible for media, decided he had too many portfolios

Could well be Andy. On the other hand there were protests that Rouvoets Religious Party would have issues like education and media, strongest protest were about the homo emancipation.
Rouvoet is also party leader for his Christian Union. He might have wanted to keep his hands free for the 2 planned elections in the coming months, the first within a weeks time.
