Al Jazeera has been suffering interference on its Arabsat satellite frequency. During jamming Al Jazeera English can be watched on Hotbird 13E Frequency: 11034 Vertical FEC: 3/4 Symbol rate: 27500; on Badr4/Eurobird 2 (26East) Frequency: 11680.8 Horizontal; SR: 27.5: FEC: 3/4; and on Nilesat/ Atlantic Bird4A (7West) Frequency: 11393 Vertical; SR:27.5; FEC: 3/4. Al Jazeera Arabic can be watched on Nilesat 7W Frequency: 11555 Vertical FEC: 3/4 Symbol rate: 27500.

How can it be that satellite uplinks can be jammed ? didn\’t they (the sat builders) plan for some data encryption on the uplinks ? and…should not the jamming stations be very near the offical uplink stations, due to the nature of dishes (it seems to me that a miss by few degrees should make the jamming useless)

I do not imagine my life without watching Al Jazeera because i think it is the most honest channel ever.
So please keep me updated of each frequency change that may come out.
