Pacific broadcasters agree to share material

Broadcasters in Fiji and New Caledonia have signed an agreement aimed at improving their coverage of the South-Pacific region. The Serbian government has announced the appointment of a new director for International Radio Serbia. The new director is Milorad Vujovic. Broadcasters in Fiji suspended from CBA

The Commonwealth Broadcasting Association (CBA) has suspended its members in Fiji. The decision means Fijian broadcasters with full membership of the CBA will no longer get access to training and development programs funded by the Commonwealth. Model of Azerbaijan’s national satellite to be presented in Baku

US company Orbital Sciences Corporation will make presentation of the approved model of the national satellite Azerspace within the Azerbaijani international exhibition BakuTel-2009, the organizer of the exhibition, Iteca Caspian, said. CCTV launches broadcasting in Maldives

China Central Television has begun broadcasting in the Maldives. Now, all major countries in South Asia can watch CCTV programmes. The deal calls for CCTV-4 and CCTV-9 to be broadcast around the clock in 30 high-class hotels in the capital Malé and its surrounding islands.
