New head of Broadcasting Communications Commission appointed in Korea

Korean President Lee Myung-bak has appointed Choi Si-jung, 70, to head the Broadcasting Communications Commission (BCC), ignoring public criticism of his alleged wrongdoings. Viasat wins Swedish channel licences

The Swedish Radio and TV Authority has awarded Modern Times Group-owned Viasat Broadcasting two new channel broadcast licences for the Sweden’s digital terrestrial television (DTT) network.
