remarkable that 100%NL is broadcasting here with 128 kbit/s quality (joint stereo), while most Dutch radiostations (including RNW 1-2-3) on Astra1 broadcast with 192 kbit/s or even 256 kbit/s. RNW 1 & 2 on Hotbird also broadcast with 192 kbit/s….(MPEG2 DVB-S, MPEG1 Layer 2 Audio)

Great for whom? Their main target group, 18-35 year olds, don’t listen to mediumwave. Those who do still listen to mediumwave (mostly the over 50s) wouldn’t like the programming. You have to select the platform that reaches the people you want to reach. Furthermore, the licence does not allow simucasting of the same programmes on mediumwave and FM.
100%NL has virtually national coverage on FM. And at the moment, 99.9% of the people who listen to mediumwave don’t have a DRM receiver!
