In 1956 the laboratory of Philips started with electronic music. In a few years time this kind of music became good taste in a small circle of musicians. Already in july 1957 the Dutch section of Radio Netherlands aired the first of a series of three (7 minutes) items by Dutch composer and technician Henk Badings with different examples. (see http://blogs.rnw.nl/haa/b082747-elektronische-muziek-uiteenzetting-door-henk-badings-1957-06-03). A month later Badings ballet ‘Kain and Abel’ was recordered for the Transcription Service.
Tweemaal “Merck toch hoe sterck” toegeschreven aan Valerius (1575-1625). Verdere gegevens ontbreken. Op de doos: ‘voor droevige gebeurtenissen of anderszins’
In 1956 opent het Natuurkundig Laboratorium van Philips een studio voor elektronische muziek. In kleine cirkel werd elektronische muziek bon ton. In juni 1957 kreeg Henk Badings de ruimte voor 3 korte voordrachten met voorbeelden waarvan de eerste bewaard is gebleven (zie http://blogs.rnw.nl/haa/b082747-elektronische-muziek-uiteenzetting-door-henk-badings-1957-06-03). In juli 1957 nam de Transciptie Service zijn Ballet Kain en Abel op.
