As a pet owner myself, I understand the dilemma of anyone who has to leave their beloved Fifi or Foufou behind when they travel.
I know how difficult it is to find someone you trust to care for your dog or cat… or hamster or gerbil… let alone a fine salt-water fish…
But now, D-Reizen, a Dutch travel agency, has opened up the “Goudvissenhotel” (Goldfish hotel) at Schipol airport for all those “fishy” pet-owners out there.
Apparently, you can give your fish its own private suite while you’re out of town. Though it’s not clear to me whether this means they will have access to the tennis courts and pool with slide that the 80 full-time aquarium residents will be enjoying.
Hmm… this little fishy is a little nervous…
